Spring in the Valley 2021 Made a Difference in Rome

The success of Spring in the Valley Festival 2021 made a difference in Rome, Georgia’s community and helped paved the way for our second annual event.

This event not only highlights small businesses and creates a space for family fun, but 100% of ticket sales and vendor fees go to a local charity.

While this event seems like a typical family festival, Spring in the Valley is actually a fundraiser event for Specially Gifted Foundation.

Specially Gifted Foundation

Our Mission: At Specially Gifted Foundation, we believe that children with disabilities deserve to be loved and valued as equals in our society. We respect the unique journey that each of their families face and are dedicated to enriching their lives by providing them with a special gift or opportunity, beneficial resources, and a sense of community.

Specially Gifted Foundation, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit (Tax-ID 84-4273422 ) established in January 2020 by Bree Kernion Lanham and Macey Price.

Spring in the Valley Festival 2021 allowed Specially Gifted Foundation to gift TWO FAMILIES from the Rome community.

Gift? This means each family received a $5K grant to be used how they thought would best benefit their family.

The SGF Cofounder, Macey Price, was born and raised in Rome. This fundraiser event is very important to her because she wants to highlight her local community artists and businesses while directly impacting families who have children with disabilities in Rome. As a nonprofit organization, SGF strives to serve families who have children with disabilities by providing them with a special gift or opportunity, beneficial resources, and a sense of community. They do this by holding various events and fundraisers throughout the year. The money that is raised from these events goes directly towards gifting families a $5k grant to use how they choose. These giftings have ranged from helping with medical bills, therapy equipment and services denied by insurance, inclusive family trips, and many more. Read our Gifted Families section to meet our families and hear how they used their $5K gift.
